Dr. Sakala established the Firm in 1977. He is a Barrister of the Inner Temple, England, and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from the University of London, as well as a Master’s Degree in Law. He holds a Doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Zambia being the first Ph.D. graduate from the University of Zambia Law School. He is the former Town Clerk and Mayor of Ndola and is a Fellow of the Institute of Local Government. Dr. Sakala is a former Chairman of the Law Association of Zambia. He was the first Chairman of the Copperbelt University of Zambia Council. He sat on the Mvunga Constitutional Review Commission of 1991 and was the Vice- Chairperson of the Technical Committee recently tasked to review the Zambian Constitution. Dr. Sakala was a member of the Judicial Complaints Commission. Dr. Sakala is a member of the International Bar Association and was the first Deputy Secretary-General for Central Africa. He is a member of the Pan African Lawyers Union where he was the first Vice President for Southern Africa.
Dr. Sakala has extensive experience in litigation. He was a consultant for the United Nations Development Program for a project on good governance and human rights. Dr. Sakala was appointed Vice-Chair Person of the Technical Committee constituted to review the current Constitution of the Republic of Zambia.

Mrs. Chibiya is a vastly experienced Advocate with close to thirty years of practice. She is a Commissioner of the Small Claims Court and a registered Arbitrator. She has a notable leadership track record as she is the former Vice-Chairperson of the Human Rights Commission and is currently the Vice-Chairperson of the Judicial Service Commission.
She was a Legal Officer for Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines Limited (ZCCM) the largest mining conglomerate with over 10 000 employees. With that experience and exposure, Mrs. Chibiya provides practical and legal advice to a wide range of clients.

Eric has four (4) years of post-qualification experience. He is responsible for litigation of matters in court for and on behalf of Clients of the Firm. He provides legal advice to clients as to their legal rights and obligations both in civil and criminal matters. He has extensive legal research experience and is involved in mediation and alternative dispute resolution as part of his practice.
His administrative roles include the preparation of monthly reports on the cases handled and preparation of clients whose human rights have been abused such as sexual abuse, employment and recommendation of emergent counsellors.
Eric has previously served as Regional Coordinator and was involved in the development of leadership and collective power of women and girls around the world to achieve human rights, health, security, dignity, justice and peace.
As one of his voluntary exercises, he conducts sensitization on human rights in different communities and conducts legal research on human rights and international law.
